MIRABEAU, L'Ami des Hommes, 1756-60

One of the founding works of physiocracy.
The first three parts were printed in three volumes in-12 jointly with the original in Quarto edition in 1756 in Avignon. This publication will be completed until 1760 and will have up to eight games.
Developed by Mirabeau and Quesnay, the physiocratic doctrine is a mixture of economic liberalism and enlightened despotism where agriculture plays a primordial role.
Physiocratic ideas will dominate the economic debate from the end of the 18th century to theorization of the liberal model of Adam Smith.
